Material Play
A visual archive of experiments across materials — exploring form, texture, and craft as a foundation for my design practice.
Hands-on experimentation • Curiosity in making • Foundational craft practice
Design begins with curiosity — exploring material, texture, and physical form teaches lessons that digital screens never can.
This ongoing collection of explorations with clay, wire, fabric, and mixed media is about feeling the process, observing how forms take shape, and understanding structure from the ground up.
Why This Matters:
Hands-on experimentation builds things that briefs don't teach — how to read a material, how to iterate when there's no undo button, how to find the boundary between what's possible and what isn't. These are lessons I bring to every interface I design.
These are lessons I bring to every interface I design. Each material test informs how I approach layout, rhythm, and spatial relationships in digital interfaces.
