From NID Ahmedabad to designing operator interfaces UX.
Hello, I'm Jyoti.
I’m drawn to the hard version of a design problem: complex information, strict constraints, people who can’t afford to guess. That instinct comes from NID, where I trained in ceramic and glass and learned that a form has to work before it can be beautiful, and that in a physical material, mistakes show. The discipline stayed.
Over three years I’ve designed for fintech, e-commerce and government clients, brand systems and, now, the operators of real-time systems. Complexity is often what I’m asked to handle, but the care is the same at any scale: clear structure, honest detail, and respect for the person on the other side of the interface.

Systems before screens
I map the structure, flows, and logic before touching the visual layer. Good IA is invisible. Bad IA is unfixable.

Craft before code
Every pixel is a decision. I bring the same patience and precision I learned making physical things to every interface I design.

Clarity before aesthetics
Beautiful design that confuses is failed design. I design for understanding first the beauty follows from the clarity.
Career Journey
Beginning with material and craft at NID, my path has steadily refined into designing digital systems that balance clarity, usability, and impact shaped by a foundation in storytelling, hands-on exploration, and a constant drive to evolve as a designer.

Ground control and HUD interfaces for real-time operation of drone systems, and the design system behind them. Close work with engineers under strict constraints.

Plaxonic Technologies
Led design across 8+ client projects in fintech, e-commerce and the public sector, from research to developer handoff. Promoted to Designer II.

UI/UX Design Intern
HIE HQ
Researched fintech and enterprise platforms through benchmarking, persona interviews and user journeys. Designed high-fidelity UI concepts, published on the company’s Dribbble.
2021
Product Design Intern
ORVI Design Studio
Revived a traditional terracotta inlay technique for modern interiors through material experiments and prototyping. Drew tile motifs from Jaipur architecture. Selected work was shown at Design Dialogue 2022 in Udaipur.

Apprenticed under ceramic artist Ruby Jhunjhunwala in Pune: hands-on training in craft processes, material exploration and design detailing.
